The Council which guides The Atheopagan Society is comprised of practicing Atheopagans who volunteer their time to help advance and support Atheopaganism as a thriving and meaningful path for its practitioners throughout the world. Council members create vision and strategies for the Atheopagan community overall, perform outreach to their communities of interest, help with creation of resources and events, and generally provide their skills, knowledge and passion to this work.

Susan Paterson
Chair
(she/her) Susan is an Atheopagan, naturalistic animist, and a dedicated practitioner of Druidry. She is an engineer, wife, mom, and aspiring suburban homesteader based in Ohio, USA. She loves spending time in nature either at home in the garden or out on the trails. When not outside, she loves to cook, create beautiful things, and play table-top role playing games.

Rachel W.
Treasurer
Based in the UK, Rachel is a hedgehog-enthusiast, accountant, and doting aunt. She is an excellent cook and an avid gamer, and sometimes dabbles in the creative arts. Her passion for fellow humans and nature-based ritual, combined with a distaste for “woo”, led her to search out The Atheopagan Society, and she found herself a home.
Rana A.
Rana A. (she/her) dances the line between various identities and is grateful to have found belonging in the Atheopagan community. She is a lifelong learner and interdisciplinary creative who cares about impactful design, mental health, pleasure positivity, and challenging norms. Always experimenting in the kitchen and sometimes reading, watching movies, or taking photos on film. She lives with her partner and three cats.

Jaala Hemingway
Jaala Hemingway (they/them) is an IT and operations management professional with over 15 years of experience with nonprofits and schools. They are passionate about ensuring that their efforts are directed toward continuous improvement, social responsibility, and preserving legacy for those who come after, whether that’s in volunteer roles, at work, or in the kitchen. Their path to Atheopaganism was circuitous but thoughtful, with a lifelong appreciation for nature as a guiding light. When they’re not at work or cooking, they can often be found on a bike, attempting to do woodworking, or taking photos. They live with their partner and pets at the edge of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.
Rebecca N.
Secretary
Rebecca (she/her) resides in the Seattle area with her kitties. She was originally attracted to Paganism in her teens, but never thought it was for her because of how pervasive the supernatural element felt. It wasn’t until significantly later when she had decided to research spirituality outside of the context of specific religions that she found the Atheopagan community, which feels like home. Rebecca likes hiking, yoga, all things cat, foosball, dancing ballet & ballroom, playing Pokemon, stationary, fountain pens, coding, and novice-level gardening.
